PROSPECTS OF INTRODUCTION OF QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN CONSTRUCTION, LIGHT INDUSTRY AND ECONOMY

Abstract

The integration of Quality Management Systems (QMS) into the construction, light
industry, and broader economic sectors presents significant opportunities for enhancing efficiency,
reducing costs, and improving overall product and service quality. This paper explores the prospects
of QMS adoption in these fields, emphasizing potential benefits such as improved process
optimization, increased operational efficiency, enhanced customer satisfaction, and strengthened
competitive advantage in both domestic and international markets. In addition, the study highlights
the role of QMS in minimizing defects, reducing waste, and ensuring consistency and reliability
across production and service processes. The analysis also examines key challenges associated with
QMS implementation, including the necessity of organizational culture transformation, management
commitment, investment in staff training, and the alignment of internal processes with international
quality standards. Particular attention is given to the importance of continuous improvement, risk-
based thinking, and performance measurement as core components of effective quality management.
The paper concludes that, despite existing barriers, the systematic adoption of QMS can contribute to
sustainable economic development by improving productivity, fostering innovation, and supporting
long-term organizational resilience.
